  1. *Teacher assistants for our school-based program at Kealing Middle School, Anderson High and Austin High. Teaching experience not required. *After school tutors on Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-5:30pm to help students one-on-one with homework

What I do for ABc and why:

  Austin Bat Cave provides an exciting opportunity for kids to grow their minds and explore their inner creativity through writing. As a child and an adult, writing has been a fun, creative outlet for me. I love teaching and working with kids, so volunteering with ABC was a natural fit! Currently I am helping out as the Austin Bat Cave's volunteer coordinator. Volunteerism means different things to different people. To some it may be as simple as fulfilling community service hours. To others it might mean finding a way to connect with others. Volunteerism to me is an important part of a healthy, happy and productive community. As volunteer coordinator I hope to connect fresh, enthusiastic community members to emerging young writers!
